In celebration of the upcoming release of GODZILLA directed by Gareth Edwards, All Monsters Blog is launching a special month-long retrospective on the King of the Monsters called
30 DAYS OF GODZILLA
Starting tomorrow, for every day until the May 16th release of Godzilla 2014, we'll be publishing posts that look back at each and every Godzilla film ever released, in chronological order from Gojira 1954 to Godzilla: Final Wars 2004. Along the way, we may stop and look at some of Godzilla's ancillary media appearances including cartoons, comics, and toys.
It's no easy feat covering the entire 60-year span of Godzilla's history in 30 days, so our focus will be to chart the progression of Godzilla from a metaphor for nuclear horror through to his international emergence as a kid-friendly superhero and finally the international stardom that landed him the title role in one of the most anticipated movies of 2014
So join us tomorrow when we launch the first post in our 30 Days of Godzilla series: a look back at Godzilla's big debut in the original 1954 Gojira.
